How I work with Clients

Availability

I consider myself to be your agent, your resource and your advocate. I will work on your behalf to protect your interest. I will be available to you during business hours by phone or text 707-529-2961 or by email michelle.romero@century21.com. I will do my best to answer my phone or to return your call, text or email before I leave work for the day. For issues you feel need my immediate attention I am available between 9:00 AM and 9:00PM, 7 days a week. Please don’t hesitate to call.

Scheduling

I do not generally check my email on weekends. I try to answer my phone over the weekend but if I don’t answer please follow up with a text. If I have not scheduled an appointment or an open house then I consider the weekend to be time away from my office and I try to take the opportunity to spend time with my friends and family and probably, more realistically, doing housework. I often put my phone down on the charger and walk outside. This DOES NOT mean that I am unavailable to you; my client. Please don’t hesitate to call or text.

 Trust your Agent

From my clients, I ask for trust. I know that is a tall order from a stranger but we are going to be working intimately together to successfully complete a real estate transaction that entails a large sum of money. We can be the most successful if we are on the same team.

 Follow the Process

From my clients I ask that you be available to complete paperwork in a timely fashion. If there will be long periods when you are unavailable, please communicate your schedule ahead of that absence. I try to go through the listing, sales and escrow process in a linear manner. I know what needs to be done and what deadlines need to be met. I am happy to answer as many questions as you have but I won’t necessarily bring up tasks and deadlines until it is relevant to the transaction. If you feel that you need to have more notice and oversight of the process, please communicate that so I can adjust my practice. I work for you.

Know The Contract

Once we are in escrow the contract drives the process. The purchase contract determines the terms and timeline that all of the parties to the contract follow. The real estate agents, lenders and the title and escrow officers are all bound by this legal document. If there are questions or concerns regarding what the contract means and your obligations, please don’t hesitate to ask questions or ask for clarification.

Ask Questions

Ask lots of questions. The more you ask the easier it is for me to meet your expectations. I will take you through the process step by step but if you feel like there is something you need to know now just ask.
